About El Rio Community Health Center Foundation
For over 40 years, the El Rio Community Health Center has been working to provide quality health care that is accessible to all who need it. Today, more than 76,000 people in the Tucson community rely on the non-profit health center as their primary source of medical and dental care, including special groups such as women at-risk, children, the homeless, and persons with HIV/AIDS.
El Rio serves over 900 people per day, 76% of those same patients live at or below the federal poverty level. Dedicated to serving all populations including the underrepresented and uninsured, El Rio has become one of the largest non-profit community health centers in the United States.
