The Mission of El Rio Community Health Center is improving the health of our community through comprehensive, accessible, affordable, quality and compassionate care.

Who We Serve:

Number of Patients seen in 2011: 76,190

Number of Medical / Dental Visits in 2011: 311,086

Our team:

Number of El Rio Staff: 800+ Staff Including doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, nurses, midwives, physician and medical assistants, dental hygienists, and other staff

Financials:

Annual Budget: $82.7 million

Amount of Charity Care in 2011: $14.5 million

Projected Charity Care in 2012: $17 million

El Rio accepts Medicaid-AHCCCS, Medicare, over 50 private forms of insurance (i.e. BC/BS,

United HealthCare, Health Net, etc.) and sliding fee scale for those who qualify based on need.

Programs of Excellence:

Asthma, Diabetes, Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, Prenatal Care, Wellness

Other On-site Services for El Rio Patients (only): 5 Pharmacies with free prescription delivery,

Laboratory and Radiology (including mammography and sonogram)
